So this weekend was very good. I got to go to 21A and try some new beers, used my clout as a beer buyer for the first time and treated very well and I didn't even mean for that to happen, but again thank you so much 21A your nice people.
Saturday Amy and I went to see Where the Wild Things Are? no matter how sick she was and how sort of hung over I was (got be honest I was hoping for the bar to be open at the kabuki to drink a little hair of the dog, but it wasn't and I lived) we made it through the day and to the movie. It was amazing. It was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. I was so proud of Spike Jonze like a kid I knew grewing up proud because he comes from skateboarding and it felt like one of us did it. I also have to admit that I don't think any other director could of done it and I'm super happy that the Jim Henson company created the puppets. I was really moved by this movie my eyes got a little watery. Thanks again Spike.
Sunday I decided to take care of Amy by making her a chicken noodle soup from sctrach which I've never done from scratch. It's still simmering and I'm watching cartoons. I'm 31 going on 32 and I feel there is nothing wrong with that.

Trunk full of T-Shirts
Last night my friend Thai http://twitter.com/Thaiphy came out to the city to give me some T-Shirts. His boss is trying to get his clothing line up and running and Thai being the mover and shaker he is jumped on the chance to help him out.
According to Thai he has a lot of hip urban friends. I don't know how hip I am, but I do live a pretty urban life...HA! The shirts are pretty flashy for me, but being he's a good friend and I own a total of 4 or 5 ALL BLACK t-shirts I couldn't say no.
After receiving my t-shirt booty we ventured on to the Potereo Skate park. Thai and I grew up skating together, we both lived and worked at our local skate shop XLR8 and had a ton of good times, skating, drinking, burger king eating, wu-tang listening, girl chasing, and filming such classics as "Pets", "Friends & Family", and the "Skate trick tip video".
We met up with the rest of our slowly but surely dying crew of old skate friends and new skate friends. One of these relic's of our past is Bryan. Bryan will always be Bryan in the fact that he's funny as hell, totally akward around girls, smoking a pack a cigs a day, and ripping at skateboarding like he was still 16.
Bryan let me ride his board and at first I was a little sketch because I haven't been on a skateboard and over a year and a half. I tried a olie and it was ugly, then right into trying a healflip and I fell to my ass. I kinda gave up at that point and handed it back to him. But before making our venture to North Beach for some pizza I jumped back on his board and did a fakie big spin. It wasn't pretty by no means, nor do I think I got any pop out of it, but it did feel good to land something and feel like a kid again.
We went to eat at Golden Boy Pizza. A place of heard of before, but never been too. Now it's not no 5 star pizza joint by any means, but if your looking for a decent slice of pizza, a cold beer, and very loud hip-hop music then I suggest you go there. I know I will be going back, oh and it's super cheap too.

Music & Memories part 1
This reminds of Real Food Co. Tara, Jason, Dan, Ron, and I think Jose (he hated most everything, but the Misfits so I could be wrong) would rock out to this band

Some beer shots

Ale Smith is really good. Another great brewery from So-Cal. With Stone, the Bruery, Firestone Walker, and Ale Smith being amazing I might have to stop hating southern California so much. Well none of these come out of LA so as long as a good brewery doesn't come out of there I can still hate it. HA! (way to be so Northern California Wes!)Dogfish Head is one of the most interesting and one of my favorite brewery's in the world. I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the aprihop. It was smooth and nice to drink after work, but for what it claimed to be and coming from where it comes I was sadden, but let's talk about Festina Peche, I liked it, didn't love it. It's sour and pours clear (it should be poured into a glass) and when it all comes together it's a nice yellow color. I like sour beers, there great for sweet and savory food and they cut them just right. I do have to admit the whole peche part could of been left out being I couldn't taste any at all and I understand what they were trying, but it wasn't there. I suggest cutting some peach's and pouring the beer over them. HA!
